Surrogacy cost

The following are the payments to be made by the Genetic/Intended couples for their treatment cycles for Surrogacy. The payments are broadly in two Stages. Stage I is till the pregnancy test for the surrogate and Stage II begins once the fetal heart is seen on ultrasound.

Stage I

Payments for Surrogacy:

 $2,750:   For Registration and Recruitment of a Gestational Surrogate. A Gestational Surrogate is provided by the clinic in 4-6 weeks upon receipt of this fee.   This is a nonrefundable fee.  This fee is to be paid one time only. If the first attempt is unsuccessful, then a surrogate will be provided to the intended couple for two subsequent attempts without having to pay the recruitment fee again.

$5,000:  This is the fee for the preparation of the surrogate to receive the embryo transfer for 3 attempts.  This is a nonrefundable fee. This fee is to be paid before beginning the treatment cycle.  This fee also involves the preparation of the agreement and Power of attorney (in case IPs not present at ET).

Extra attempts will be with FET & for every extra attempt client need to pay $2500 towards Labs charges (Frozen embryos will be used from the previous cycle otherwise client has to undergo paid fresh IVF cycle ).

Additional payments in Stage I depend upon whether it is a self IVF/ICSI cycle or a Donor Egg Cycle or a Frozen embryo transfer cycle.

1.     IVF / ICSI cycle fees : $7,800

This cycle fee is to be paid in full by the day of egg retrieval. This fee includes Cost of Injection, fertilization, a culture of embryos, and embryo transfer.

1.     IVF with Donor Egg cycle fees: $13,500

This fee includes fees for the Caucasian egg donor, blood work for the egg donor cost of injections for the egg donor, and IVF/ICSI cycle fees.  50% payment for this is to be done before starting donor injections and remaining on the day of egg retrieval of the donor.

c)Frozen embryo transfer : $2,500

This fee needs to be paid once the treatment plan is confirmed. This fee involves fees for thawing and doing transfer into the surrogate.

Note: Cost of cryo-shipping of embryos from your clinic to our clinic will be extra,

Stage II

Payments for Surrogacy:

$ 23,250: Payment is for providing the surrogate and includes her compensation, antenatal care, and delivery. This fee is to be paid in 3 parts:

$7750, within a week of the confirmation of clinical pregnancy,

$7750, at completed 28 weeks of pregnancy and

$7750, at completed 36 weeks of pregnancy/Delivery.   

This is a non-refundable fee.

 In case of a miscarriage at 20-24 weeks, an additional 3000 USD needs to be paid.

• In case of a miscarriage at 25-30 weeks, an additional 8000 USD needs to be paid.
• In case of a premature delivery from 31 to 40 weeks, complete payments need to be done.

Note:

There is additional compensation of $3,000 to the surrogate in case she carries twins.

There is additional compensation of $2,500 to the surrogate in case she undergoes a Caesarean Section.

All charges are inclusive of normal pregnancy & delivery in the above package.

In case of any complication during pregnancy or after delivery to the child or surrogate mother client has to pay extra as per actual expenses.

Other optional fees:

$ 4800 PGS up to 5 embryos. Extra embryos cost will be 750 $ per embryo.

$ 500: Cryo-preservation of Supernumerary Embryos

$ 500: Laser-Assisted Hatching Fees.

$ 1,000: Laparoscopic egg retrieval (if required). This is in addition to the IVF/ICSI cycle fee.

Guaranteed Surrogacy Baby Program  – $ 64000

• First Instalment Advance at the time of registration and signing contract  -32,000USD (Non-refundable)
• Second Instalment at the first heartbeat scan confirming the pregnancy- 8000USD.
• Third Instalment at the 18th week of the pregnancy-8000 USD.
• Fourth Instalment at  28th Week of the pregnancy 8000 USD.
• Fifth and the last Instalment at the time of the delivery- 8000 USD.

Who are eligible to choose Guaranteed Surrogacy Baby Program:

The male partner should have a good semen analysis, DNA Fragmentation test Karyotyping at our clinic Lab. The surrogate mother and a proven egg donor is the compulsory part of the Guaranteed Surrogacy Baby Program.

Since 1997 — egg donation, sperm donation, and surrogacy have been legal in Georgia.

According to the law, a donor or surrogate mother has no parental rights over the child born. The intended parents will be registered as parents of the child. Even in the case an embryo obtained from an egg donation or sperm donation, which is transferred into the uterus of the surrogate mother, intended parents will be deemed as legal parents of the child.
The birth certificate will be issued after the child’s birth. The intended parents will be registered as parents on the birth certificate. The consent of the surrogate mother is not required for registration.
The following will be required for registration of intended parents:
• Surrogacy Agreement
• Certificate of embryo transfer to the surrogate mother issued by the IVF clinic
• Certificate of the fact of childbirth issued by maternity hospital

Article 143

Extracorporeal fertilization (IVF) is allowed.
a) For the treatment of infertility, as well as in case of risk of transmission of genetic disease on a wife’s or a husband’s part, by using sex cells or an embryo of the couple or a donor, if the couple’s written consent has been obtained.
b) If a woman has no uterus, for transfer and growth of the embryo obtained as a result of fertilization to the uterus of another woman (“surrogate mother”). The couple’s written consent is obligatory.
The couple is considered to be parents in case of childbirth with the responsibility and authority ensuing from it. A donor or a “surrogate mother” has no right to be recognized as a parent of the born child.

Article 144

For artificial fertilization, it is possible to use female and male sex cells or an embryo conserved by the method of freezing. The time of conservation is determined according to the couple’s will by established procedure.
